Things we learned from Sonam Kapoor’s wedding…#Everyday phenomenal

When bollywood’s favourite muse is getting married, hopes are pinned high on her on setting some cool wedding trends and Sonam did not disappoint a bit. She sure gave us some serious wedding goals, that all you brides out there, getting married in 2018, could swear by.

TROPICAL INVITES- perfect for summer weddings, the invitations in all green and tropical prints.

FLORAL BRAIDS- we are still swooning over Sonam’s mehendi look. Girl, hair goals right there for your mehendi, flowers beautifully twisted around the braid.

DITCH COLOUR- mehendi has always been about vibrancy and colours but Sonam did just the reverse and we suggest you do the same. An all white mehendi is going to be the new trend.

COMFORT COMES FIRST- Rhea Kapoor and Anand Ahuja rocking those sneakers and how!! We also spotted Sonam in a comfy kaftan once the formal reception was over. You can also go for a dress change and slip into something comfortably chic for the after party, without that heavy lehenga restricting your THUMKAS!!

ELABORATE JEWELLERY- in all her functions, Sonam wore heavy jewellery, so GIRL DONT SHY away from wearing that big mathapatti, adorning those stunning waterfall earrings, chunky hathphools or layering up on your neckpieces.

JUTTIS AS FAVOURS- Sonam gave away the cutest Fizzy Goblet Juttis as favours on her Mehendi, to her bride tribe & you should totally copy this idea..

CUSTOMISED MANGALSUTRA- Sonam wore custom kaleeras too but that is something we have seen on brides before. The surprise was her Mangalsutra, with sun sign symbols of her and her beau, she gave a whole new meaning to the Mangalsutra. Follow suit, Girls..

DECOR INSPIRATION- Rani pink gave us some serious decor goals that we cant seem to be getting over with. Baby’s breath on chair backs, mirror buntings on ceiling, watercolours on walls, blue jaipur prints for seating area..

Inside Sonam and Anand’s Mehendi ! The theme was unconventional. It was Offwhite and Mirror. We worked with intricate mirror embroidery from gujarat, crushed malmal drapes dyed in tea liquor, the ceiling was draped with mirror buntings, clusters of beautiful wicker baskets with waxflower bunches added softness to the couches and our most spectacular feature was the mirror picket fence running along the entire pathway. The space was covered with mirror walls inspired by Gujarat mirrorwork. The warmth was created by adding large champa trees and old hindi songs were projected on the walls to take you back in time. It was offbeat. It was grand. It was glamourous. It was special ❤ #everydayphenomenal #sonamkishaadi #ranipinkbride #ranipink2018 #ranipinkweddings #love #decor #itsallinthedetails #special @sonamkapoor @rheakapoor @anandahuja @kapoor.sunita

THOUGHTFUL GESTURES- we wont get into the debate of changing your surname after shaadi…but Anand Ahuja did the cutest thing ever by putting that S in his name & if you and your bae agree on this, we say why not!!!

More than everything, Sonam gave us the inspiration to be a super chilled out bride and enjoy every wedding festivity with whole lot of fun and fervour..
